Moo Malika zum Song YOUR NAME: «Man begegnet einem Menschen und hat das Gefühl, diesen bereits einmal gesehen zu haben. Manchmal fühlt man sich tief verbunden mit der Person, von welcher man nicht mal den Namen kennt. Vielleicht ist es gerade deshalb so schön und darf ruhig so bleiben.
Ich hatte auch schon solche Momente und finde es immer wunderschön, Menschen regelrecht zu fühlen. Spontan hatte ich Lust ein neues Lied zu schreiben und stieg in den Zug nach Berlin. Dort traf ich mich mit Tamara Olorga (Schedler Music) und Ricardo Bettiol (Schedler Music). Wir hatten nicht einmal einen Tag Zeit um das Lied zu vollenden, da ich schon wieder in Bern erwartet wurde. Ein ganzer Tag wäre auch nicht nötig gewesen, denn bereits nach kurzer Zeit hatten wir «Your Name» geschrieben und vor der Fahrt zurück genügend Zeit, um beim Lieblingsitaliener um die Ecke Pasta zu essen und Vino Rosso zu trinken.».

Die Schweizerin mit tunesischen Wurzeln ist stetig unterwegs und begegnet überall neuer Inspiration. Sie liebt es, die verschiedensten Kulturen und Menschen kennen zu lernen. Die vergangenen Monate war Moo in Südamerika und liess sich von der Musik und der Freude der Lateinamerikaner verführen. Dort traf sie auch Tifanny, ein mittlerweile 15-jähriges Mädchen aus Ecuador, welches Moo seit 8 Jahren unterstützt und unbedingt endlich persönlich in die Arme schliessen wollte. Als Hommage an sie hat Moo ein Bild, welches während ihrer Reise durch Ecuador geschossen wurde, als Singlecover ausgewählt.

Einen Song mit so viel Gefühl wollte Moo nur bei «the one and only» Ben Mühlethaler aufnehmen. Dies war der krönende Abschluss der wunderschönen Odyssee zu «Your Name».

I’ve had moments like that too, and I always find it wonderful to feel people. Spontaneously I felt like writing a new song and took the train to Berlin. There I met Tamara Olorga (Schedler Music) and Ricardo Bettiol (Schedler Music). We didn’t even have one day to finish the song, as I had already to be back in Bern. But a whole day wouldn’t have been necessary either, because after only a short time we had already written “Your Name” and before the trip back we had enough time to eat pasta and drink Vino Rosso at our favourite Italian restaurant around the corner”.
The Swiss musician with Tunisian roots is constantly on the road and meets new inspiration everywhere. She loves to get to know the most diverse cultures and people. The last few months Moo has been in South America and was seduced by the music and the joy of Latin Americans. There she also met Tifanny, a 15 year old girl from Ecuador, who has been supported by Moo for 8 years and who she finally wanted to hug personally. As a tribute to her, Moo chose a picture, which was taken during her journey through Ecuador, as a single cover.
Moo wanted to record a song with so much feeling only with “the one and only” Ben Mühlethaler. This was the culmination of the wonderful odyssey to “Your Name”.
